The Unsung Heroes of the Changhua Plain: A Brief Introduction -
Chou Huo-jui (1932-2018)
A supporter of independent candidates during the martial law period, Chou became more devoted to social movements after the DPP was founded. He contributed substantially to the protests with money and labor, or by bringing more protesters to the venue. As the owner of a rice mill factory, Chou is dearly missed for his kindness, generosity, and care for the minorities.
