Call for the Dissolution of the National Assembly and Direct Presidential Election (1992)

The appeal for the dissolution of the National Assembly and direct presidential election had been lasted for several years before reaching its climax in 1992, as tens of thousands of people attended the 6-day “April 19 Direct Presidential Election Demonstration.” During the protest clash, Changhua protester Li Chi-shui was even beaten brutally by the police for protecting his video camera.
