The Unsung Heroes of the Changhua Plain: A Brief Introduction -

Lin Kuang-ming (1956-2012)

Lin was an excellent diver who usually volunteered to assist the fire brigade in saving drowning people. In 1987, after the land consolidation of Changhua’s Huhsi farmland directed by the Taiwan Provincial Government caused damage to the rights of local farmers, he accompanied the victims to the government to demand further restitution. Finally, the farmers won the lawsuit against the government and received compensation. He was also a key speaker on a “Democracy Truck” during the protests.
