1987- The May 19 Green Action in Taipei calling for the unconditional lifting of the martial law

1987- Protest march in Nantou against the Taiwan Tobacco and Wine Monopoly Bureau for its breach of contract with grape growers

1988- The Action Alliance for the Elderly was founded in Changhua; it organized demonstrations to call for the establishment of benefits programs for seniors
1988- The Return Our Land Movement (in Nantou)
1988- Demonstration in Chiayi to support indigenous people pulling down the statue of Wu feng in protest of the national myth that Wu “civilized” the locals.
1988- The May 20 Peasant Movement (in Taipei)
1988- Let the Blacklisted Home Movement in Taipei, which supported the rights of the blacklisted overseas dissidents who wanted to return Taiwan
1989- Demonstration in Taichung supporting the blacklisted journalist Chen Wan-chen
1989- The Changhua Environmental Protection Union staged the March 3 Anti-FCFC Action to protest against air pollution caused by the Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corporation
1989- Protest against pollution from the Tsháu-Á-Poo Transfer Station in Changhua
1989- A demonstration at the funeral procession of Cheng Nan-jung, the Taiwanese independence martyr who died in self-immolation.
1990- The Wild Lily Student Movement (also known as the March Student Movement) in Taipei

1999- Protest rally in Taipei against political corruption while calling for the abolition of the National Assembly
2000- Taiwan’s first peaceful transition of power, with Chen Shui-bian and Annette Lu being elected the 10th president and vice-president of R.O.C (Taiwan)
