The Unsung Heroes of the Changhua Plain: A Brief Introduction -

Chen Chao-fu (1953-2018)

When Chen was a cobbler, he often read the anti-KMT magazines, becoming a natural critic of authoritarianism. After returning to his hometown to run a mold engraving factory, he used all of his free time to attend protests as well as to canvass. After he was diagnosed with cancer, he shifted his interest to the environmental movement and oil painting. Death may take away his life, but not his love for Taiwan.
